About the Committee

The United Nations Human Rights Council is responsible for promoting and protecting human rights worldwide. Delegates represent member states, debating and addressing issues such as violations of human rights, discrimination, and humanitarian crises. The committee aims to adopt resolutions through consensus or majority vote, reflecting the international community's stance on various human rights concerns. Participants develop skills in diplomacy, negotiation, and public speaking, working collaboratively to draft and pass resolutions that propose solutions to complex global human rights issues.
